Federalism Paper – DueDescription
Federalism has been a highly contested topic in America since the New Deal. In recent years topics such as: gay marriage, immigration, legalization of marijuana, education, and gun control have dominated the conversation. Write a 3-page paper not only describing why the question of federalism is of vital importance, but also state and support your opinion on one of the aforementioned topics. Support should derive from the Constitution, and at least 2 articles published in academic journals.
Make sure to use in-text citations, a works cited page (MLA format), a title page, and double space with 12-point font. Your paper will be turned in through D2L, and will be subjected to a plagiarism scan. Any plagiarism report over 30% will lose partial credit, and if the report is over 50% all credit will be forfeited. You may submit your paper more than once to check your plagiarism report and fix any potential problems; be forewarned that it can take a day or more for the report to be generated.

Students need to have a well formulated thesis, and evidence that corroborates their statements to ensure the receipt of maximum credit. I highly recommend the use of an outside editor such as, the Write Place whose information can be found on the Lone Star website. A well written paper will also need to be concise, maximizing the use of the 3-page limit.
